Johnny Bailey III arrested in connection with Friday’s Shooting at Westminster and Jefferson

Update 1:52 PM 02/21/2018

On February 20, Kerrville Police Officers and Criminal Investigations executed a warrant on Johnny Bailey III for what they believe is his part in the Shooting Investigation on February 16. KPD believes that the shooting was drug related.

A warrant for Deadly Conduct, was issued by Precinct # 2 Justice of the Peace Judge J.R. Hoyne. Bailey is being held in the Kerr County Jail with a bond sent at $30,000.

Deadly Conduct is a 3rd Degree Felony, punishable by 2 to 10 years of incarceration with a fine up to $10,000.

All suspects are presumed innocent, unless proven guilty in a court of law.

Update: 9:26 PM 02/16/2018

KPD has released a surveillance photo showing the shooting suspects. They are still unidentified and at large. Even though no one was shot that we know of, these suspects could still be armed and maybe dangerous. The public is urged to call KPD with any tips at 830-257-8477

Two potentially armed and dangerous suspects are on the run after one of them allegedly shot off six rounds at a vehicle traveling southbound on Westminster Drive. KPD said that they would be releasing details within the next hour but nothing has been released at this time. When asked for a description of the suspects, KPD said they had no description at this time.

Neighbors heard anywhere from 3-6 shots but 6 shell casings are on the ground with evidence markings. Here’s the photo showing the shell casings with evidence markings.

Multiple witnesses describe the suspects as young males. One was on a bicycle and the other in sandles, but kicked them off when fleeing the scene. Here is a photo is the sandles.

There is possibly a car in the area with bullet holes. Keep an eye out and call KPD if you have any information. 830-257-8477
