Well known Tejano singer Stephanie Lynn arrested on drug charges in Kerr County

Tejano singer Stephanie Lynn was arrested Tuesday on drug possession charges.


According to jail records, the 45-year-old singer, whose legal name is Stephanie Lynn Garcia, was arrested after drugs were found during a traffic stop in Kerr County, Texas. Jail records state she was booked on two counts of dangerous drugs possession and one count of a controlled substance under one gram. Her bond was set at $11,500 and she remains in the Kerrville jail.

Another person in the vehicle, Gerardo De Los Santos, was also arrested on an outstanding warrant and various drug charges.

According to www.tejanonation.net, This isn’t the first time Stephanie Lynn was arrested on drug possession charges. In 2001, she was arrested with a companion at a Border Patrol checkpoint in Cline following a routine stop, where two bags containing 117 pounds of marijuana were found in the car. The pair were jailed on felony charges of possession with intent to sell, distribute or dispense marijuana and conspiracy to distribute marijuana.

Stephanie Lynn began her career as a teenager with her brothers as Stephanie Lynn and High Energy. In 1993, she was signed to the EMI Latin record label and released her debut album, Solo Ojos Para Ti, with the title track reaching No. 32 on the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks in late 1994.
