City officials place flowers at “Mother’s Love” sculpture to honor James Avery

May 2, 2018

On Tuesday, Dr. Bill Rector of the Downtown Business Association, Kim Ort of the Kerr Arts and Cultural Center, City Manager Mark McDaniel, and City Secretary Brenda Craig joined together at the James Avery sculpture in Kerrville’s downtown to place flowers in honor of James Avery.

Mr. Avery was a valued member of our community and sadly passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018. He founded James Avery jewelry in 1954.

Others are welcome to come place flowers at Mr. Avery’s “Mother’s Love” sculpture to show their appreciation and respects for the generous man.
