Currently, at Grape Juice Restaurant in Kerrville, children’s art is on display and for sale from young artists at Hill Country Youth Ranch. The sale began on May 8 and will continue until July 7.
Carol Priour worked with the Najim Charter School art teacher to help the children build the show. Ten young artists have created over 100 pieces of art for the exhibit.
As said on Hill Country Youth Ranch’s Facebook, “All of the participating youth are really excited about this. Keri Wilt, an owner of Grape Juice, is donating her normal commission for such shows, so the kids will get 100% of all sales. Paintings sell for $50 each.”
HCYR encourages viewers to share their comments so that they can pass them to the kids.
“Of course, a sale speaks loudest. All of the residents at HCYR have savings accounts, and this is a chance for the artists among us to realize the value from their creative work.”
The Hill Country Youth Ranch “provides long-term therapeutic care for abused and orphaned children at all service levels.”
Grape Juice is located at 623 Water Street in Kerrville Their hours are from 11 AM to 11 PM Tuesday through Saturday.
