Dear HCBN,

I’m writing to you about the speed on the Hwy 16 between Fredericksburg and Kerrville. The speed limit is 70 mph and people drive close to 80 out here. This hwy is not made for this high speed.

About 1 year ago, Tx-Dot redid the road and that made it worse. We have had trouble with cars running over our gate and fences  because the speed is to high.  We have 5 gates entrances that go into out place off of 16 and four of them have been hit in accidents.

We have land on both side of the hwy, now try crossing the road on a tractor, ATV, Lawn Mower or vehicle is nearly impossible.  I can not tell you the close calls I have of getting hit. NOT A GOOD FEELING.

Driving to Fredericksburg or Kerrville,  the cars are on you bumper and if you have to slow down your going to get rear ended or they try passing you, often when there is a double yellow stripe or on the wrong side.

Any Help on this be appreciated.  Thanks.

Corey Juenke
