The Salvation Army offering ‘cooling station’ and donated fans

This summer, residents are encouraged to stay cool and drink plenty of water. As the temperatures continue to rise, The Salvation Army in Kerrville is determined to help everyone beat the heat.

As per information by The Salvation Army, “The Salvation Army of Kerrville Social Services Office, located at 855 Hays Street, will serve as a cooling station for those seeking cooler shelter. Individuals with medical conditions, the elderly, or families with young children can visit the office and receive one free box fan per household. Box fans will be distributed as items are available.”

The Salvation Army Social Services Office is open Monday’s through Thursday’s from 8 AM-4 PM and Fridays from 8 AM- Noon.

“This summer help your neighbors in need stay cool and hydrated. Donate box fans and/or bottled water to The Salvation Army Kroc Center, located at 201 Holdsworth, or visit the Social Services Office, located at 855 Hays.”
