Kerrville Parks and Rec looks for sponsors for their Guard Team

The City of Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department is actively searching for sponsors for their 2018 Guard Team. Different sponsorship levels and packets are available upon request.

Sponsorships help send the Guard Team to competitions as well as pay for travel, lodging, competition fees, and uniforms.

“Due to the accomplishments of the prior years’ teams, we had enough interest for two teams this year”, says Ashlea Boyle, Director of Parks and Recreation and guard team coach. “I’m thrilled with the increased interest and proud of the hard work the teams have put in to prepare for the competitions.”

Team Angels is made up of veteran competitors like Courtney LaQuey, Jacob Pierz, Carlos Nava, and Michael Tran. Team Owls has first-year competitors like Garrison Egstrom, Corey Smith, Gabriel Buckholz-Casao, and Meagan Maxson.

The Guard Team has a history of placing in different competitions focusing on first-aid, CPR, spinal injury management, water rescues, conscious and unconscious guests, pool fouling/biohazard incidents, and other techniques.
