The Salvation Army to have Back to School Bash

A Back to School Bash is being held for the community on Saturday, August 11 from 10 AM until 1 PM. This event is being put on by The Salvation Army and will take place at The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Kerrville.

At the Back to School Bash, families will be able to kick off the school year with fun activities like arts and crafts. There will also be bounce houses, games, and a cake walk. Free food is available as well.

This event will have fun for all ages and over 240 children will receive their new backpacks, new shoes, and needed school supplies that have been gathered by the community.

The Salvation Army says that local agencies and clubs, like the Girl Scouts, Kerr County 4H, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and KISD Early Childhood, will be there to speak to families and the Lions Club will be giving children free eye screenings.

The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Community Center is located at 201 Holdsworth Drive in Kerrville. If there are any local non-profit agencies are interesting in being involved in the Back to School Bash, contact The Salvation Army at 830-315-5753.
