Avery’s “Mother’s Love” sculpture to be dedicated as the “James Avery Memorial”

The public is invited to attend the dedication of James Avery’s “Mother’s Love” sculpture on August 2 at 9 AM at 228 Earl Garrett. The sculpture, located at on the corner of Main Street and Earl Garrett, will serve as the “James Avery Memorial”.

James Avery was a longtime Kerrville resident and was involved in many organizations in the area before he passed away on April 30, 2018. He designed and created the “Mother’s Love” sculpture, which was unveiled in May 2012.

A reception at Kerr Arts and Cultural Center, 228 Earl Garrett, will take place after the dedication.
