According to a report by the Kerrville Police Department, on June 29, 2018, at around 9:13 AM, an officer responded to a call on the 300 block of Junction Hwy in Kerrville. The caller told police that someone was forcing him to withdraw money from his bank account in Kerrville.
The victim reported to officers that the suspect, identified as Joseph Biancalana, age 26, forced his way into the victim’s residence in Gillespie County and threatened him with a firearm to drive to Kerrville to withdraw money from his account against his will. After arriving at the business, KPD reports that Biancalana waited outside in the victim’s vehicle.
After a preliminary investigation, KPD says that Biancalana was placed under arrest and charged with Kidnapping. Upon further investigation by KPD investigators, they responded to Gillespie County and recovered further evidence collaborating with the victim’s statement. The firearm used in the offense was later recovered, as well.
The Kerrville Police Department obtained two more arrest warrants for Biancalana, one for Aggravated Robbery and the other was for Tampering with Evidence.
The case by KPD has been forwarded to Gillespie County to assist in investigating related offenses that occurred in their jurisdiction.
