A voluntary recall has been announced for certain Ritz Cracker Sandwiches and Ritz Bits products by Mondelez Global LLC. The whey powder used in the recalled products was recalled by the whey powder supplier due to the potential presence of Salmonella. The products recalled are said to have been sold in the United States, including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

“There have been no complaints of illness reported to Mondelez Global to date in connection with these products.” states the announcement from Mondelez Global, “The company is conducting this recall as a precaution, based on the ingredient supplier’s recall.”

Customers are advised not to eat any of the listed above products and products should be thrown away.
