The new school year is right around the corner, and The Salvation Army is in need of help from the community to help local children prepare. They are seeking those who can “adopt a bus (child)” to assist in purchasing new backpacks, shoes, and required school supplies.

The Salvation Army says that buses can be adopted at the Kroc Center as well as be picked up at local Kerrville businesses and churches.

“The Salvation Army extends a huge THANK YOU to the many individuals, businesses, and churches who make this program a success. Because of your generosity, local children are able to start the new school year off right!”

They are also accepting monetary donations and school supplies which can be dropped off at the Kroc Center or mailed to them at 201 Holdsworth Drive in Kerrville, 78028.
