The Center Point Volunteer Fire Department, which serves Center Point and the surrounding area, has shared a list of some of the helpful items the community can donate to them that can be used at any time.
Suggested donations include:
Snacks and drinks
- Beef Jerky
- Bottled water
- Powerage or Gatorade
- Peanut Butter or cheese crackers
- Single servings of chips
- Granola bars or energy bars
- Single serving trail mixes
- Single serving cookie packs
- Hand towels
- Canopies (to get out of the sun)
The items donated don’t need to be expensive items, the list notes.
Volunteer fire departments are usually run off of donations and some volunteers often use money from their own pockets to buy the things they need, so any help from the community is always welcome.
Monetary donations are also accepted. This type of donation can help to service their currently used equipment and help to purchase new equipment.
The CPVFD also adds, “Most importantly Prayer for our First Responders, dispatchers and Agencies are always welcomed. We thank you in advance for the support and love you guys show us!”
To donate any suggested items or monetary donations, please contact the Center Point Volunteer Fire Department at 830-634-2323. You can also take donations to the fire station at 548 Kelly Street W in Center Point.
Please keep in mind that the Center Point Volunteer Fire Department is having their annual Fish Fry Fundraiser coming up on October 27 at the fire station. More details will be shared as the event date grows closer.
HCBN would like to thank the Center Point Volunteer Fire Department for being such a big part of the community and helping those who need it.
