Wet N’ Wag doggy swim event happening this Saturday

The Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department has invited the dogs out for Wet N’ Wag on Saturday, August 18 from 5 PM until 7 PM at the Olympic Pool in Singing Wind Park.

The free event, sponsored by Dogologie in Fredericksburg will have activities such as a doggy swimsuit contest, a pet and owner look-alike contest, games, Olympic Pool access, and off-leash play throughout the event.

“After the closing of the Olympic Pool for the swimming season, the dogs come out to play!” says The Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department.

Current proof of rabies vaccinations, tags or paperwork are accepted, must be provided for each dog. Owners are asked not to bring aggressive dogs. Pet waste bags will be available on site so owners can clean up after their pets. A leash is required when dogs are not in the fenced in area.

The Olympic Pool is located at 601 Olympic Drive in Kerrville. For more information about Wet N’ Wag, please contact Josh Rodrigue, Parks and Recreation Specialist, at 830-258-1151. Pet owners can also email him at josh.rodrigue@kerrville.tx.gov or visit the city’s website at www.kerrvilletx.gov.
