A Kid’s Triathlon will be held at the Olympic Pool in Singing Wind Park on Saturday, August 18. The Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department is hosting the event to give boys and girls, from PreK to 18-year-olds, the opportunity to participate in a swimming, biking, and running event.
Participants will be grouped according to their age and athletes will swim, bike, and run age appropriate distances. A map of the course and a chart of the distances per age is shown below, as provided by the Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department.
Proper attire, as well as a bike helmet, is required to participate in the Kid’s Triathlon and it is suggested to bring a bike, sunscreen, and a towel.
The cost to enter the triathlon will be $15 which includes a t-shirt, water bottle, and the opportunity to win door prizes. The fee for a second child will be $10 and $5 for each additional child after two.
Registration begins at 7:30 AM on-site at the Olympic Pool and a pre-race meeting will be held at 8:45 AM. The race is set to begin at 9:00 AM.
