August 7 is the deadline to turn in an application to be a part of the Kerrville Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership Kerr County (LKC) Program.
This is the LKC’s 34th year to offer men and women of all parts of the region the opportunity to learn about issues and topics related to Kerr County.
In a press release by LKC, they describe the program, “This intensive nine-month program begins in September with a two-day retreat. Then, beginning in October, the class is immersed in topics that are important to our community such as economic development, social services, education, government, healthcare, environment, tourism, travel and leisure and more. In addition to the once a month classes, the class works together on an outside class project, EasterFest.”
Leadership alumni choose new members for the program from applicants. Self-nomination and referrals are accepted and all applications need to be received by LKC by noon on August 7.
Applications can be downloaded or printed off www.kerrvilletx.com by selecting the “About the Chamber” then “The Leadership Kerr County Program.
