Balloons released to celebrate birthday of murdered Tivy graduate, family still looking for answers about her death

The family of Jessica Brown gathered together recently to celebrate her 34th birthday by having a balloon release on September 1st. This comes after the beloved bench at her graveside was stolen and later returned to her family.

Jessica was a 2002 Tivy High School graduate and a mother to two sons who loved her dearly. Her life was cut short on June 9, 2016, when an unknown person murdered her in Travis County while she was delivering newspapers for one of her jobs.

Unfortunately, her murder is still unsolved, and her family tries to reach out to the community and its surrounding areas as much as possible to help get her murder solved. Investigators with Bastrop are reportedly still gathering evidence to help solve the case, but the family says they still are waiting for any major development.

If there is any information that anybody might have about the night Jessica Brown was killed, you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-866-930-TIPS (8477). You can also visit the Bluebonnet Area Crime Stoppers website.
