Kerrville man arrested for “hundreds of images of child pornography”

Keith Alan Harmon, a 48-year-old registered sex offender according to the Texas Department of Public Safety Sex Offender Registry, was booked into the Kerr County Jail on October 23rd, 2018, for possessing hundreds of images of child pornography, according to Kerr County court records.

Harmon’s combined bonds total $75,000 with the dates of the Child Pornography offense dates listed between January 8th, 2017 and April 20th, 2018.

A press release issued by Kerr County Sheriff, Rusty Hierholzer, on October 23rd, 2018 said this about the 6-month long investigation.

“Kerr County Sheriff’s Office Investigators received a tip that Harmon possessed child pornography. After investigating the reports, officers executed search warrants on Harmon’s home/business, vehicles, and cell phone.”

“As a result of the searches of these locations and extended searches of devices Harmon possessed, hundreds of images of child pornography were located.”

“The case was presented to the 216th District Grand Jury and indictments were issued against Harmon.”

We first reported on Harmon on April 20th, 2018 after he was booked into the Kerr County Jail on four counts of Child Pornography.

The article that we wrote in April stated that “Court records show that Harmon pleaded guilty to Sexual Assault in August 2001 and the Texas Sex Offender Registry shows that he is required to register as a sex offender for life with a moderate risk. The last time that Harmon registered was in October 2017. The sex offender registry shows that the victim’s age was 17 at the time of the 2001 Sexual Assault case.”

Harmon is scheduled to be arraigned on November 15th, 2018. The Honorable Judge, N. Keith Williams is presiding over this case.
