Homecoming parade to cause brief road closure today

Homecoming is Friday, November 9 for Tivy High School and a parade is set to be held today, November 8. The City of Kerrville has announced that the 2018 Homecoming Parade will cause briefly altered traffic routes downtown Kerrville.


KISD said that the parade begins at 5:30 PM. It will be on Water Street and start at the intersection of Hugo Street and Water Street where it will finish at the intersection of Earl Garrett Street and Water Street.

Beginning at 4:30 PM, Hugo Street from Guadalupe Street to Water Street will be closed to through traffic. This is the staging area for the parade. The entire parade route will close at 5 PM to through traffic until the parade is complete. It is estimated that the parade may last 45 minutes to an hour.

The Tivy High School 2018 Homecoming football game is on Friday, November 9, at 7:30 PM at Antler Stadium. The Antlers play against Medina Valley.
