KERRVILLE, Tx. (HCBN)- A statement was issued today, November 26th, from the Kerrville Police Department regarding their recent social media post about a credit card abuse investigation. The post showed a picture of an unknown woman and stated that she was a suspect in the case. The department soon learned that the woman in the picture was not connected to the incident.
KPD has since apologized saying, “On, November 26, 2018 at 11:31 am, the Kerrville Police Department posted a picture of a person believed to be involved in an offense at a local Kerrville Bank (case# 1803275). The picture supplied by the banking institution was not the suspect and she has been cleared of any wrongdoing. The offense had occurred during the same time as the person in the photo was making a bank transaction. We apologize for the inconvenience and any embarrassment that this may have caused and are still actively investigating the crime.”
