Bring your family for a movie night and other fun activities on July 13, 2018. The free event, hosted by K’Star Kerrville, begins at 5:30 PM and will last until 9 PM.
Booths will be set up from 5:30 PM until 7 PM by several different community resources such as Kids’ Advocacy Place, BCFS, American Legion, First United Methodist Church and Big Brothers and Sisters, among others. These booths will have family-friendly games. For every game played at one of the booths, players will receive a ticket. These tickets can be put in a drawing for several different prizes that have been donated.
At 7 PM, the movie “Inside Out” will start. After the movie, at 8:30 PM, the drawing for the prizes will take place.
K’Star also says, “We are pleased to announce that the Kerrville Fire Department will be attending. They will be available to talk to the kiddos and give tours of the fire truck!”
This free “Family fun and movie night” will be held at the Doyle Center, 110 W Barnett Street in Kerrville.
K’Star Youth and Family Services states that they provide family and youth counseling services, free of charge, to eligible families and aims to prevent runaways, truancy, abuse, and neglect.
K’Star also provides an emergency shelter, giving a safe refuge for children who are experiencing dangerous situations at home or who have been removed from their home by Child Protective Services. One of their goals is to increase awareness about child abuse and prevention by hosting events in the community. K’Star reaches out to our community in hopes of building relationships with community partners.
