Picture this- you’re excited to watch your favorite sports team on the TV, but when you turn it on all you’re getting is a muddy or blurry feed.
After a few whacks the problem didn’t resolve. The game is starting in a just a couple more minutes. How can you improve your TV reception?
If you’re using an aerial, consider these quick steps:
Step 1. Reset Your Aerial Box
The aerial box, or otherwise known as set top box is a device that handles the channel feed. Every once in a while it may need a quick reboot or a full reset to continue working properly.
So, here’s what you do- turn off the TV and locate the aerial box, then either press the off button or unplug the device. Wait for a full minute before turning it back on. The aerial should do a reboot and acquire programming. While you’re at it, check and see if there are loose connections.
Step 2. Check With the Provider
Broadcast channels aren’t perfect- sometimes they experience technical issues with the feed, audio and whatnot. You could be pulling your hair out trying to resolve the picture, but in reality there’s nothing you can do but wait for the provider to fix it.
Service interruption status may be seen in the company website or in one of their channels. If this is the case, tough luck. You just have to wait it out and hope that you can catch the rest of the game or show before it ends.
Step 3. Get a New Aerial
If there’s nothing wrong with the box and there aren’t any service interruption, it could be time for a new aerial. Call a reputable company for TV aerial installation so you can resume watching your favorite shows and channels clearly and without the annoying fuzz.
