What actually meth (Methamphetamine) is & its impacts?

Methamphetamine – a recreational drug. It is a potent central nervous system stimulant.  A drug is basically a chemical substance that has a physiological effect that is ingested or otherwise introduced into the body. Not all drugs are the same!

Meth belongs to the category of nervous system drugs. Most commonly, meth is a highly potent addictive drug that is manufactured illegally but less commonly. This drug is used as a second-line treatment for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and obesity. How long does this drug stay in our system depends on how it is taken and many other factors? But first, let me tell you its “routes of administration.” It is ingested (oral) while people using it recreationally administer it through oral intravenous, intramuscular, subcutaneous, vapor inhalation, insufflation, rectal and vaginal.

Its onset of action is rapid, while the duration of action is ten to twenty hours.

It appears like clear crystal chunks or shiny blue-white rocks, often called “ice” or “glass.” It’s a POPULAR PARTY DRUG. An interesting fact to know about it is: During World War II, this drug was given to soldiers to keep them awake. But it is important to mention here that meth has drastically horrible physiological effects, so it is dangerous!

A person who uses meth starts behaving; differently, its brains begin working in a different manner. When it is taken, the brain of a person starts increasing the production of dopamine. Meth’s consumption has different phases of impact on the user.

Phase-I is RUSH

Phase-I starts within a few minutes after meth’s consumption, and it lasts for about thirty minutes. It mostly happens when this drug is injected or inhaled.

Phase-II is ELEVATED.

Its time period is four to fifteen hours. During this phase, the consumer is alert, aggressive and confident. A person feels very agile and works efficiently towards achieving his goal.

Phase-III is SPLURGE

During this phase, the user actually starts taking this drug in short spans, while behaving the same as in phase-I and II. This continues between ten to fifteen days.

Phase-IV is ALTERING and Bang

The consumer becomes violent, wanting the drug again and again and his body motions and emotions become out of his control. As quickly as this drug affects the consumer’s body, the same rush it has in the initial phases to leave the body.

After ten to twelve hours of consumption, almost half of it leaves the body of the user. There are many factors (health and environmental) which decide how quickly this drug leaves the body.

  • The release of meth from the body directly depends upon the quantity of this drug consumed during the last binge.
  • This drug stays in your body as you continue taking it. It means it depends on the number of Meth cycles in a day.
  • For how much time meth remains in a consumer’s body is also dependent upon the metabolism speed of the consumer.
  • The overall health and fitness of the organs of the consumer’s body also matter a lot.

I think you are now fully acknowledged about this drug matters because this acknowledgment matters a lot as this your life concerning the matter.
