Over the summer, many football pundits predicted the season to be ran away with, like the last two seasons, by Liverpool and Manchester City and for them two to be untouchable. However, with both having faltering starts and with both losing by big score lines already, the league seems to be wide open and might be the year of the underdog.
Manchester City are still the favourites to win the league this year, even after losing to Leicester 5-2 and then drawing with promoted Leeds 1-1 they have looked rather vulnerable during the restart. Although they have strengthened over the summer and brought in multiple new recruits that will allow for them to close the gap on rivals Liverpool, it may take time for this new back line to gel together. Guardiola will be having serious words with his team if they are serious about winning the league though and will ensure them that lack-lustre performances don’t win you titles – they are currently 6/4 to win the league.
Liverpool are of course next, currently priced at 11/8 to win the league after their dramatic loss against Aston Villa over the weekend and conceding 7 goals; something that manager Jurgen Klopp wasn’t very happy about in his post-match interview. Before last weekend, Liverpool did look invincible but the big loss has put doubts in everyone’s mind regarding their squad and when they are missing key players such as Sadio Mane who was out due to Covid-19 restrictions then they aren’t the same side.
During the lockdown, many football punters had to find alternative methods in which to try and produce a profit through their smartphones but without the use of live sport due to the lack of it in the summer. Many bookies experienced a surge in numbers of football punters migrating to casino markets when looking here. This is due to the fact that these casinos over a 24/7 service that is never going to be limited by the lack of sport or any schemes to limit your gambling experience.
The final team in which have looked dangerous since the restart has been that of Carlo Ancelotti’s men at Everton. Although they have done some seriously good business over the summer signing James Rodriguez, Allan and Doucoure who have all strengthened areas that were needed, no one thought that they could be title challengers but with them being the only unbeaten team left, they seriously could be worth the punt at 20/1 with Dominic Calvert-Lewin being in the rich vein of form that he’s in too.
